![]() A good way to find scrambles is to check with local golf courses. Many corporations and charities also offer scrambles that are open to the public. Some public courses offer weekly scrambles, in which a player pays a fee to participate as part of an organized team or can be matched with random teammates. Scramble tournaments are common at many golf courses. ![]() This eliminates a team's ability to rely solely on one standout player. One way to challenge team members is to require a minimum of two tee shots to count for each player during a round, which puts pressure on players to produce at least two quality drives.Īnother variation is to not allow any player's shot to be used twice in a row. Note: If determining a 9-hole Course Handicap, type in one half of the 18-hole Handicap Index (rounded to one decimal). Variations of the standard 4-man scramble can be implemented to make the game more interesting or challenging. A 4-man scramble gives each player a chance to shine on various shots on any given hole. The format also plays to certain golfers' strengths.įor example, some golfers excel at hitting tee shots, while others are better at chipping and putting. By forming teams in groups of four, it increases the odds that at least one player on the team will hit a quality shot during every rotation, thus helping speed the pace of play. A personal handicap will range from +0.1 to +3.5 Otherwise, just enter digits and a decimal point. For a scratch golfer, please enter a plus sign. At my club, we only ever have 4 man team Texas scramble comps, with 10 handicaps, if a team only had 3 members they would get 10 plus an additional 2 strokes. But there are no firm rules for this format. Scramble tournaments often are used at charity and fundraising events, many of which feature novice or occasional golfers. Theres a pairs Texas scramble open at a local club soon, its 30 of combined, for this particular open. In 4-man scrambles, due to the number of players on each team, handicaps typically aren't used. ![]() This is really what makes an air conditioner pad so important it protects against damage that could drastically shorten the unit’s lifespan. If the air conditioner made direct contact with the ground, you’d likely find that it produces weird buzzing noises and, more importantly, suffers damage. ![]() Secondly, air conditioner pads reduce the AC’s vibration against the ground it rests upon. So thanks for trying a bunch of things and coming up with this one. (And sometimes it takes me back to where I was rather than a few seconds before.) But it's a better workaround (especially using only the left- and right-arrow buttons, which are easier to switch between) than what I had been doing. Since the Instant Replay button now seems to be the same as the left-arrow button, I can hit the left-arrow button twice and then the right-arrow button twice, which often does give me a quick replay, often less than ten seconds. Your workaround is interesting: I had been going back two frames and advancing one, which put me way further back than I wanted, and also had me switching buttons after I hit Instant Replay and then having to switch to the right-arrow button to advance. For me, it now appears to be no different from the left-arrow button: it goes back one "frame" per push of the button, and it does not automatically replay. Hmm, for the others responding so far, the Instant Replay button stopped working very recently-more like two weeks ago than two years ago. And I still think the thing to do is to have people keep contacting them until they realize that they have a problem. I still think the problem has to be Netflix. ![]() So my old clunky Roku remote's Instant Replay still works on Netflix (I didn't try any other channels with it). ![]() Of course, I'm sure there are technical differences between the two devices. It's slower than my current Roku Express, but I checked, and the Roku 1 remote's Instant Replay button works fine. The one thing I didn't think of before this chat was to check on a second Roku that I have set up (and rarely use) with another TV. After all, we couldn't all have the Instant Replay on our Roku remotes break at exactly the same time, right? I said that because had I been able to contact Roku support, I'm sure they would have told me to contact Netflix. 1 Very rarely watch catch up TV but did this morning and realised I have no idea how to pause, rewind etc as there seems to be nothing on the remote that obviously does these functions. I also told him that Roku said to contact Netflix. He finally came back and said "The support advised for you to contact roku device manufacturer and get this remote contyrol be checked." I told him (again) that there was nothing wrong with the remote, and it worked fine on other channels-the only problem was with Netflix. Said he was going to refer it to the support team (while I waited). Some highlights: Netflix guy said, "This is the first time someone reported this" (which we know is total BS).
